Do you use a second shooter?

Usually. Most of our collections include a second shooter. We highly recommend going for the second shooter, because let’s face the facts…I can’t be in two places at the same time.

Who second shoots for you?

Whenever possible, my incredibly beautiful, better half Courtney shoots with me. However, if for some reason she can’t, I have several local photographers that have shot with me numerous times that I totally trust to get the job done.

How many photos will we receive?

The number of photos you receive will depend on the collection that you decide on. However, it usually comes out to around 50-7o images per hour of coverage.

How will we receive our images?

All images are delivered via Shootproof, an online photo gallery software that’s super elegant and easy to use. Favorite photos, compare photos, and even order prints and canvases right from your gallery.

How do we pay for your services?

We accept cash, check, debit/credit, including avenues such as PayPal & Venmo. We also offer payment plans for our wedding packages. After your pay the $750 deposit, we can set you up on a payment plan that works for you. The remaining balance just has to be paid in full one month prior to your wedding day.

What’s your photography style?

We strive for our photos to be considered timeless. We don’t really like putting ourself in a “light & airy” box or a “dark & moody” box. We try to edit in a way that best serves the moment and the feel of the event. Take a look through our blogs and you tell us :)

Do you only shoot weddings?

Wedding are most definitely our jam. However, we do book a select number of portrait/lifestyle sessions throughout the year, especially for past clients. We love to keep that relationship with our couples going for years.

Do you offer wedding packages?

Yes. We like to keep it simple. We offer three wedding day collections for you to choose from, Standard/Deluxe/Professional. However, these collections aren’t set in stone. If you want more coverage, less coverage, more photos, to add a bridal session, then all the collections can act as starting points from where you can build your own custom collection. At the end of the day, we want you to get what you want.

Do we have to do the engagement session?

No, but we STRONGLY encourage you to do it. In fact, engagement sessions are complimentary with every wedding collection booked. We think it’s that important. We can’t think of a better way for you and yours to get to know us, and for us to know you than to have worked together before your big day. The more comfortable you guys are with us, the better your images will be!

Do you travel for weddings?

Absolutely. We are both travel lovers, so the opportunity to travel with you to your destination wedding or elopement really gets our blood pumping!

When will we get to see our photos?

We know how excited our clients are to see their photos, and we absolutely can’t blame you. Believe me, we are just as excited to show you the finished product. We typically deliver wedding day photos 12-16 weeks after your big day. However, keep an eye out on our Instagram account, @candleandquill for sneak peeks, which we often do.

How do we book you?

If you decide that we’re the best fit for your big day, awesome! It’s super easy. All we require to reserve your date is a $750 deposit and a signed contract. Bam, done.
